De levensbeschrijving van zuster Margaritha Valappila

Jezus zei tot hen: “Kom en volg Mij! Ik zal jullie tot mensenvissers maken. Ze lieten hun netten achter en volgden Hem” (Mc. 1, 7-18).

In juni 1960 riep Jezus zuster Margaritha en nog twee andere meisjes op om Hem na te volgen. Ze hebben hun netten zogezegd achter gelaten en volgden Hem.

Wanneer we dit getuigenis lezen, dan zien we hoe Jezus van dit meisje een mensenvisser voor God maakte. Zuster Margaritha Valappila uit Kerala, Zuid-Indië, behoort tot de zusters van de Heilige Jozef in het klooster St. Trudpert in Münstertal. Uit de kerkgeschiedenis weten we dat dit de eerste congregatie in Europa was die meisjes uit Aziatische landen in hun klooster opnam.
